Accountability

An audit trail your COLP can rely on.

Every document the AI opened and every file it created, with what was hidden. Export it to CSV, keep encrypted copies of exactly what was sent, and check that nobody has altered the log.

By default the AI can only add new documents in the one folder you choose. It can never change or delete your files unless you allow it, and then a copy is kept first.

Does the AI company see my client files?

It sees the text of the documents your AI assistant asks about, with client details replaced by placeholders. It never sees the real names, addresses or numbers Private Desk detects, and it never sees the finished documents saved on your PC.

Does it catch every detail?

No automatic tool can promise that. Private Desk catches names, addresses, contact details and ID numbers in the forms law firms and accountants use, and you can add your own words to always hide. Use the preview to see exactly what would be sent, and check AI output before relying on it.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Claude Desktop on Windows (recommended) and Cursor. You use your own Claude subscription; Private Desk works alongside it. We are testing the ChatGPT desktop app.

Is it approved by the SRA?

No vendor product is. Private Desk gives you evidence for your own risk assessment: what the AI was sent, an activity log, and controls over what it can do. Your professional duties stay with you.

What happens after the free trial?

Your subscription starts after 7 days unless you cancel. You can cancel any time from the app (Home > Manage subscription).

Can I use it on more than one PC?

Each licence works on one PC at a time. Buy one licence per person. When someone changes PC, move the licence from the app.

Do I need IT or admin rights to install it?

No. It installs for the current Windows user in about 10 minutes and connects to Claude Desktop for you. Windows 10 or 11 is needed.

What does Airgap Fleet receive?

Your email address, licence key, an anonymous code for the PC, the PC name and the app version. Never your documents, file names or client details.
